Our Story
Ridgways Furniture was established in 1992 by John Ridgway. While studying , John , started buying and selling furniture and realized that there was a need for good quality furniture. The humble beginnings were an old shed at the back of his parents home, which is situated on the Strand, Main Road, later he built a small shop on the property.
John realized that he had found something he loved to do and with hard work , friendly service and family support the business became well established.
Over the next few years the business grew steadily and in 2003 they moved into the larger premises at 134 Main Road, Strand. 
We only stock furniture of high quality, with an emphasis on Victorian Furniture , Cottage Furniture, and others. The wood types found here are Mahogany, Rosewood, Walnut ,Teak, Oak, Blackwood, Yellowwood, Stinkwood, etc.
We offer reliable and friendly service with an emphasis on quality. We do not have fixed trading hours , we are always ready for after hours service at your convenience.
Although we are based in the Strand, Western Cape, we buy and sell nationwide making use of reliable, trusted courier companies. We deliver personally throughout the Western Cape.
